Automated Guided Vehicle

Fixed-route material movement without a driver — predictable across every shift.

Overview

An AGV moves materials inside a facility without a driver and follows defined routes. It fits repeat movement between fixed points like stores, lines, and staging zones. It works best when routes stay stable and load types stay consistent.

AGVs reduce the labour cost and unpredictability of manual material movement. Once routes and pickup and drop points are programmed, the vehicle runs the same cycle across all shifts without deviation. Fleet management software monitors vehicle position and status, schedules dispatch, and handles congestion on shared paths. When demand grows, new routes and additional vehicles extend coverage without rebuilding the system. Qubotix handles site survey, route planning, vehicle supply, and commissioning.
