1The Challenge
The customer needed a full parametric CAD model of an existing SUV body for tooling and re-engineering purposes but had no usable digital data. Traditional measurement approaches could not capture the full exterior geometry in reasonable time.
2Our Solution
Qubotix used structured-light 3D scanning to capture the complete vehicle exterior and key interior reference locations in a single day. Point cloud data was processed in Geomagic Design X to produce a fully parametric IGES/STEP model aligned to OEM tolerances.

Full vehicle 3D scan completed in 8 hours. Parametric CAD model delivered within 5 business days. Model used directly for tooling and manufacturing downstream.
